Rivero Rajoy calls "transparency" and to give explanations in Congress

The President of the Canary Islands, Paulino Rivero, has called on Saturday to head of the Spanish, Mariano Rajoy, "transparency" and "clarity" and give explanations in the House of Representatives on the publication of an alleged accounting handwritten PP business income and payments to their leaders.

Paulino Rivero said in remarks to reporters that it is "a matter so important that it deserves to be debated in the field of high popular representation, which is the House of Representatives."

The President of the Canary Islands has said that Spain is in need of "a firm commitment to strengthening institutions" and to value politics.

"The policy right now is very degraded and the Government of Rajoy has to make an effort in this direction", said Rivero, who expects the Spanish president has agreed to "go fast in the search for truth" in its meeting Saturday with the National Executive Committee of the PP.

In his view, the public needs an explanation for what is needed to act with "energy, speed and seeking truth."
